DR. SUKETU M. KHANDHAR, M.D.
Dr. Khandhar is currently the Chief of Neurology at Kaiser Permanente, North
Valley and has held this position since 2019. He is concurrently the Medical
Director for KPNC Comprehensive Movement Disorders Program and KPNC Sacramento
HDSA partner Center of Excellence which he has held since 2006 and 2015,
respectively. He is also Chair of Neurology Service at TPMG since 2023.
He is also an Associate Clinical Professor at California Northstate University
College of Medicine. Dr. Khandhar completed his medical degree at St George’s
University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He presented an
abstract at the 2024 International Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders
Congress in Philadelphia, PA, titled Unlocking Movement Disorder Specialist
Capacity and Mitigating Risk: A platform solution for cost reduction and care
optimization in Parkinson’s disease.
Dr. ERIC EGLI
Dr. Eric Egli received his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of
Minnesota. In Minnesota he did hospital based mental health care and worked
as faculty of a family medicine residency. Dr. Egli later moved to California
to work at Kaiser as a behavioral medicine specialist. In that role he
collaborated with neurologists and others to help patients and families cope
with the physical and psychological consequences of chronic disorders
including Parkinsons disease. He retired from Kaiser in 2016 and
maintained a private practice in Auburn through 2022. He served on the PANC
board from 2019 to 2023.
DR. ROBERT COCHRANE, Ph.D
Dr. Cochrane is the CEO and Founder of Yes…and exercise (YAX). He is a
graduate of UNLV’s Integrated Health Sciences Department. He is researching
the effect of improvisation and storytelling on Parkinson’s Disease. He
received grants from the Parkinson’s Foundation and support from the Davis
Phinney Foundation along the way. He brings joy, optimism and practical tools
for people in the PD community to thrive today.
He has a background in filmmaking, making his first documentary, the
award-winning boys of summer in 2004. His father, Dan, was diagnosed with PD
in 2001, which shifted Robert’s artistic lens to health.
ERIN NELLA
Erin Nella is a Senior Dietitian with UC Davis Health who has specialized in
neuroscience nutrition for the last 8 years. She received her undergraduate
degree from UC Davis and her post graduate education was completed at Tulane
University in New Orleans. Erin has conducted various CQI initiatives at UCDH
to better optimize the nutrition status and outcomes for admitted neuroscience
patients. Erin is also deeply committed to community outreach with a focus on
Parkinsons Disease and has presented to local support groups and regional
organizations over the past 6 years to help bridge the gap between nutrition
related research and its influence on day-to-day living with Parkinsons."
CAITLIN SEGELKE, PT, DPT PCS
Caitlin Segelke is a dedicated Physical Therapist at Kaiser Vallejo,
where she has been co-leading a Parkinson’s group exercise class for the
past five years. A graduate of the SDSU Physical Therapy Program, Caitlin
brings specialized knowledge in both adult and pediatric physical therapy.
With a passion for helping others achieve their best physical health, she
combines her clinical expertise and experience to make a meaningful impact
on her patients lives.
