THE BENICIA PARKINSON’S AWARENESS RALLY
Support for local people with Parkinson’s
The Benicia Parkinson’s Support Group was founded to support individuals in our community who are impacted by Parkinson’s disease - a complex neurodegenerative disorder.

We welcome everyone affected by Parkinson’s: individuals living with the condition, their care partners, family members, and friends. There are no membership fees or annual dues - just a shared commitment to supporting one another.

Our group is rooted in inclusivity, empathy, and shared understanding. At our meetings, we exchange stories - of challenges and triumphs, frustrations and funny moments. We learn from each other, support one another, and walk this journey together. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry - but always, we listen.

We draw on a variety of information sources, including guest speakers, educational programs, and the lived experiences of our members. We recognize that Parkinson’s affects each person differently, with unique symptoms and progression rates.

Beyond our meetings, we are committed to raising awareness in the broader community—helping others better understand Parkinson’s and how to support those living with it. The Support Group meets monthly on the second Saturday from 10 A.M. to noon at the Benicia Lutheran Church at 201 Raymond Drive. The Care Partners Group meets monthly on the third Saturday from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. also in the Church.
