In recognition of April being Parkinsons Awareness Month the Benicia Parkinsons EXPO will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 in City Park at Military and First Streets. The EXPO is open to the public from 9:00 AM to1:00 PM bringing together different companies and service organizations that provide our local communities with solutions and resources to help in their journey.
Our annual fundraiser walk, The Bill Cawley Memorial Walk, held in junction with the EXPO, is in honor of one of our founders of the Benicia Parkinsons Support group. Check in starts at 8:30 AM. The walk will be around the perimeter of City Park.
There are 2 separate walk sessions each with a prize for the top 3 with the most trips around the park in the time allotted.
The first session is for those 30 and younger. This 45 minute session starts at
9:00 AM.
The second session is for those over 30. This session starts at 10:00 AM.
Your $30 participation fee will include a t-shirt. Your generous donation will be used to increase awareness of Parkinsons Disease, support local and Northern California programs, and provide educational materials, seminars and events.
